It features Marsai Martin Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laurence Fishburne, Yara Shahidi, and Marcus Scribner.

With a talented actor cast, it’s easy to understand why it was so successful, but what was it that made the show distinct? It’s important to note that when the show first came in its first season, there were a lot of people who called the show “dysfunctional” and “racist”. This is the reason it’s so interesting to observe how the show has evolved in the past.

The show was developed by Kenya Barris who also created the show Grown-ish. He was looking to create a show that reflected his experiences being an African American man growing up in Los Angeles. This show has a lot in common with the show Grown-ish in that it is also focused around the lives of an African American family living in LA.

There are a lot of distinctions between both shows. Black-ish was the first sitcom that focuses on the black family in network television following the 1995’s Family Matters, which was removed after four seasons due to its low ratings and accusations of being “racist”. However, Black-ish has performed much better and is now an instant hit with both audiences and critics because of its fantastic family comedy as well as its more realistic depiction of African Americans from upper middle family homes within Los Angeles.

The cast includes Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, Laurence Fishburne, Marcus Scribner as well as Jennifer Coolidge. The show has been nominated for awards like the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and has also won five awards.
